Over 1,500 People Joined More than 5 Million All
Over the World on this Global Day of Action to Say
End the Occupation of
Iraq !
Most of

More than
35 local organizations endorsed this South Bay event and
our speakers were from labor unions, student groups, Muslim
and Arab organizations, Veterans for peace, Comite Cezar
Chavez, a representative from a Haiti organization, other
peace groups, and educators. They all voiced their concern
about the US military domination of the world and demanded
the resolution of all conflicts through non-violent means
for the cooperation of global human society.

Park is located at 19th and Santa Clara Streets, east
of downtown San Jose.

TRANSPORTATION
INFO:
Carpools: If you can provide
a ride or need a ride, please call 415-821-6545 (North Bay)
or 408-998-8504 (South Bay).
Driving Directions:
From San Francisco, take 101 South
to the Great America Parkway exit. Go East onto Great America
Parkway (a left turn). Follow for 1-1/2 miles to Tasman
Drive (a right turn). Turn right onto Tasman Drive, and
the Center will be on your left.
From San Jose, take 101 North to the
Great America Parkway exit. Go East onto Great America Parkway
(a right turn). Follow for 1-1/2 miles to Tasman Drive.
Turn right onto Tasman Drive, and the will be on your left.
From Oakland, take 880 South to 237 West. Turn left
at the Great America Parkway exit. Follow for about 3/4
mile. Turn left onto Bunker Hill Drive (the Westin Hotel
will be on your left). This will bring you directly into
the parking garage for the Center and the hotel.
Public Transportation:
From San Francisco, you can take CalTrain
to Mountain View. At CalTrain's Mountain View Station, take
the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) Light Rail to
Santa Clara's Great America Station.
From San Jose, take the VTA Light Rail
to the Great America Station in Santa Clara. You will need
to change trains at Baypointe (from the Baypoint - Santa
Teresa line to the Mountain View - I-880/Milpitas line).
Parking:
Parking on surrounding streets. The Santa Clara
Convention Center has a big parking lot on the south side
of Tasman.
