Arsenal of Hypocrisy:
The Space Program and the
Military Industrial Complex

A film followed by a talk by
David Dionisi

David Dionisi
www.teachpeace.com
Dave Dionisi is the author of "American Hiroshima", a book about how to prevent the next 9/11 attack in the United States.

Having served as an Army Intelligence Officer and as a Fortune 500 executive, Dave tells the inside story of how the military-industrial complex works. He has also worked extensively as a volunteer in Asia, Central America, Europe, and Africa. He has convinced many conservatives to renounce support for Bush and the unjust war in Iraq.

The glory days of NASA are over! Today the Military Industrial Complex is marching towards world dominance through Space technology on behalf of global corporate interest. To understand how and why the Space program will be used to fight all future wars on earth from Space, it's important to understand how the public has been misled about the origins and true purpose of the Space program.

The discussion following the film will be led by David Dionisi, founder of the Teach Peace Foundation, ex-military intelligence officer and author of "American Hiroshima: The Reasons Why and a Call to Strengthen America's Democracy".

Join Dr. Ann López to celebrate the release of her new book,
"The Farmworkers' Journey".

One reviewer calls The Farmworkers' Journey, “a powerful and moving story of lives affected by agricultural and trade policies, migration, and the dehumanization of farm workers.” Illuminating the dark side of economic globalization, this book gives a rare insider's view of the migrant farmworkers' binational circuit that stretches from the west central Mexico countryside to central California.

We’ll enjoy a Mexican dinner, discuss the issues in the book with Dr. Ann, and watch excerpts from the new documentary, “El Gigante Awakens”, about the historic May 1, 2006, Immigrant Rights March in San Jose.

Dr. Ann Lopez discusses NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement and it's impacts on farmers from West Central Mexico. Hear stories about a 60 year old grandmother who risks asphyxiation to travel across the border to visit her "illegal immigrant" farm worker son. Hear of the struggles women migrant farm workers face working and living in Santa Cruz and Monterey County and how neoliberal trade policies often force Mexican farm workers to migrate into California's corporate agricultural fields.

This 20 minute interview with Dr. Lopez will be aired September 5th
for a Labor Day special on Women's Magazine 1-2pm, 94.1 FM.

A full one hour interview on NAFTA's impacts on Mexican farmworker communities will be aired on KZYX, in Mendocino County, 90.7 FM and 91.5 FM on Labor Day, Monday September 3rd from 6-7pm.
